Job Description
As a Junior/Mid-Level Jenkins Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous integration pipeline runs smoothly, efficiently, and securely. You will work closely with Development and QA Automation teams to automate and streamline our software delivery processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configuration and maintenance of Jenkins servers
- Manage Jenkins plugins, updates, and integrations with other tools
- Create and manage Jenkins jobs, pipelines, and build configurations
- Collaborate with the wider DevOps, Development and QA Automation teams to design and implement test pipelines
- Write and maintain Jenkins pipeline scripts
- Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues
- Implement security best practices for Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Monitor Jenkins performance and highlight, catalogue, and address performance bottlenecks
- Troubleshoot issues related to builds, deployments, and infrastructure
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of Jenkins configurations and processes
- Create user guides and best practice documents
Key Skills:
- Experience in Jenkins administration and CI/CD pipeline management
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Shell, Python)
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
