Business Development Representative

Job Description

Prevalent provides a comprehensive software solution to help companies eliminate the security and compliance exposures that come from working with vendors, suppliers and other third parties across the third-part risk management lifecycle.

The Business Development Representative (BDR) develops warm, sales-ready leads. The BDR fulfills the vital role of responding to and nurturing early-stage prospects, with the goal of generating opportunities for the Sales team. This includes establishing initial contact with prospects, understanding their needs, and building credibility by sharing relevant resources and educational materials.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced BDR ready to take the next step in an exciting technology space, or for a recent graduate seeking to gain foundational experience for a rewarding career in technology sales and/or marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively conduct cold outreach and transition inbound inquiries to warm, responsive prospects
  • Identify and qualify new opportunities for Prevalent
  • Provide qualified leads to sales reps
  • Enter prospect information into Salesforce and Salesloft
  • Enhance product knowledge by regularly attending training sessions
  • Attend field sales meetings as appropriate
  • Support marketing campaigns and promotional offers to help optimize revenue
Skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders
  • Personality to establish and maintain strong relationships with sales teams you support
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and maximize efficiency
  • Effective listener to understand prospect needs
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Solid phone, prospecting, sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a professional environment is preferred
  • Experience working in a business development role is a plus but not required
Education
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
