  • About the Presenter - Aileen Griffith, Former official of the Federal Reserve System

    Aileen Griffith is a former official of the Federal Reserve System who designed and implemented essential risk management programs in support of strategic initiatives. During her recent position with Federal Reserve Bank of New York, she oversaw the implementation of the Bank’s first enterprise vendor risk management program supporting financial stability efforts and subsequently designed expansion efforts broadening coverage of the institution’s vendor pool. Previously Aileen worked with the Federal Reserve System’s Office of Employee Benefits (OEB), which services the employees at all 12 Federal Reserve Banks, their families and beneficiaries. As Compliance Officer at OEB, she provided strategic insight to foster a “culture of compliance” and ensure best-in-class customer service and operational integrity. In addition to establishing enterprise risk management (ERM) efforts and assisting in the design and implementation SOX compliance activities, Aileen led her team in conducting and co-sourcing routine and rigorous reviews evaluating third party service provider operations and contractual compliance. Over the course of her career, she held positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of accounting, audit, and risk management helping to align internal operations with changing business needs. Aileen is a graduate of Wesleyan University and received her Master of Public Administration from Baruch College’s School of Public Affairs. She is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, and she serves as a board member of the Bedford Stuyvesant YMCA in Brooklyn, NY. Aileen is pursuing new opportunities in the risk management arena and is advising on matters related to vendor risk management.
