Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an UX/UI Designer to work within our growing software development team located in Chineham Basingstoke.

Prevalent is a leading security and risk management software vendor. Our cloud-based, software-as-a-service application is used by enterprise customers to track and mitigate risks within their supplier base and internal business units. As a UX/UI Designer you will work alongside the Product, Design and Development teams to create new features and improve the user experience of our software products. You will be involved at all stages of the design process from concept to delivery. You will work within a busy agile software development team focused on short development sprints and regular release cycles.

Responsibilities

Help to visualise new features with wireframes, flowcharts and prototypes
Attend planning meeting and help develop user stories with the team
Ensure the best possible user experience throughout the application
Research and promote user interface best practices
Work alongside other designers to document style guides of patterns, components, animations, and colour pallets to promote consistency throughout the application
Review and approve completed work to ensure they match the required design standards

Key Skills

Experienced with design tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, InVision or Sketch
Able to sketch wireframes and engage in problem solving with the team
Experienced with prototyping and storyboarding tools such as InVision
Experienced with responsive web design
Familiar with the architecture and constraints of the web and various devices
Understanding of web accessibility standards
Ability to write clear instructions, user guides and documentation
Understanding of basic front-end languages such as HTML, CSS and Javascript would be an advantage but not essential

You must be eligible to work in the UK to qualify for this role.
