QA Tester - UK | Prevalent

Job Description

Prevalent is seeking a QA tester to assess software quality through manual testing. Reporting to the QA Manager, you will be part of the team focused on testing our industry-leading third-party risk management platform. In addition to finding and reporting bugs and glitches, you will need to be a team player who is willing to handle a wide variety of daily tasks.

Responsibilities

Review and analyze system specifications
Collaborate with other QA Engineers to develop effective test strategies
Execute test cases and analyze results
Perform ad hoc and exploratory testing
Create logs and screenshots to document testing phases and defects
Report bugs and errors to development teams
Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development
Work closely with the QA team to implement innovative ideas that create efficiencies and increase quality

Key Skills

Working knowledge of software quality and testing methodologies
Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or Specialist
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Experience in QA methodology
Well versed in creating manual test cases in test systems and frameworks
Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Skills

Some software development background with a strong Quality Assurance testing focus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Testing in Linux- and Mac-based environments
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
